The viewpoints are nowhere near stations
Fuji’s best angles — Oishi Park, Chureito, Oshino Hakkai — are scattered across the lake district. By train and bus this day is five transfers; by car it is one smooth loop.
From Tokyo · Private day charter
The classic day out of Tokyo, without the tour-bus clock: your own car and English-speaking driver from hotel door to hotel door, Fuji viewpoints in the morning light, Hakone in the afternoon, and the freedom to stay twenty minutes longer wherever the view is good.
A sample day
8:00
Your driver meets you in the lobby. Child seats are already installed; luggage and strollers go in the back.
9:45
The postcard Fuji-over-the-lake viewpoints, reached before most coaches arrive. On clear mornings this is the best light of the day.
11:00
Eight crystal-clear spring ponds under Fuji, thatched roofs, snack stalls — an easy, flat stroll for kids and grandparents alike.
12:30
Houtou noodles are the local classic. Your driver suggests options and drops you at the door while parking is handled.
14:00
Drive the mountain road the trains can’t take. Sulphur vents, black eggs, and the ropeway view over the caldera.
15:45
The lakeside torii gate photo stop, or a short sightseeing-cruise leg while the car meets you at the other pier.
18:30
Sleep in the car on the way home — no last train to catch.
Make it yours. Every stop above is swappable. Want the Chureito Pagoda instead of Oshino Hakkai, an onsen hour in Hakone, or a Gotemba outlet stop on the way back? Tell us when booking or message the team on WhatsApp — the day is yours.
Why a private car
Fuji’s best angles — Oishi Park, Chureito, Oshino Hakkai — are scattered across the lake district. By train and bus this day is five transfers; by car it is one smooth loop.
If Fuji hides in clouds, your driver reroutes on the spot — museums, onsen, or the clearer side of the mountain — instead of a bus ploughing through a fixed schedule.
A family of four already pays less for the vehicle than for four bus-tour seats, and nobody stands in a meeting-point line at 7 a.m.
Travelling with children? Infant, toddler, and booster seats are free — just tick them in the booking form.
Per vehicle. One flat USD rate covers the car, the professional driver, fuel, and 8–10 hours of driving time for your whole group. Highway tolls and parking are settled at cost; entrance tickets and meals are not included.
Honestly: it depends on the weather. Visibility is best on clear winter and early-morning days and can vanish in summer haze. The advantage of a private car is that the driver chases the gaps — swapping viewpoints and timing on the fly — which a fixed bus itinerary cannot do.
No — this is a sightseeing day around the Fuji Five Lakes and Hakone by car. We do not run summit climbs. We can drive to the Fuji Subaru 5th Station (weather and season permitting) if you want to stand on the mountain itself — ask when booking.
Drivers are professional chauffeurs rather than licensed tour guides — they handle English for the ride, advise on timing and logistics, and stay with the vehicle at each stop. Our support team coordinates anything complex in English on WhatsApp before and during the day.
Book online in a few minutes with no card required — you pay after the ride. Free infant, toddler, and booster seats can be requested in the booking form. If you want a different route or timing, send the plan on WhatsApp and the team confirms quickly.
