The green-plate standard.
In Japan, legitimate paid passenger transport is strictly regulated. Commercial vehicles must display a green license plate and be operated under the proper licensing framework.
Standard white-plate private cars are not legally allowed to charge for rides. Those arrangements often fall short on commercial insurance and professional licensing requirements.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for white-plate vehicles. Every booking is fulfilled through a licensed fleet partner using properly insured, professionally operated vehicles.
What that means in practice
- Every booking uses a licensed green-plate commercial vehicle.
- Drivers hold professional Class 2 commercial licenses.
- Commercial insurance and required safety inspections are non-negotiable.
- Public pricing is locked by the booked area and trip length, even before the final drop-off is finalized.
Booking expectations
Clear rules before pickup.
No card required to book. Your fare is locked at the public rate shown, and you pay after your ride by secure Stripe link, driver QR, supported wallet, or cash.
You can cancel before the scheduled pickup with no charge. If your pickup time, route, waiting time, or stops change, your concierge will confirm availability and any fare adjustment before the trip continues.
