From Osaka or Kyoto · Private day charter

Kyoto, Nara & Osaka in one day, by private car.

Fushimi Inari before the crowds, Nara’s deer at midday, Arashiyama’s bamboo in the late light — the three-city Kansai day that exhausts train travellers becomes one smooth circle when a car and English-speaking driver picks you up at your Osaka or Kyoto hotel.

A sample day

How the day usually runs.

  1. 8:00

Hotel pickup in Osaka or Kyoto

Starting early is the whole trick in Kansai — and it is painless when the car comes to your lobby.

  2. 9:00

    Fushimi Inari Shrine

The ten-thousand-torii mountain, walked as far up as your group likes. Arriving before ten beats the worst of the crowds.

  3. 11:00

    Nara Park & Todai-ji

Bowing deer on the lawns and the Great Buddha in the world’s largest wooden hall — the stop children remember for years.

  4. 13:00

    Lunch in Naramachi

The old merchant quarter’s lanes hide excellent lunch spots; your driver recommends and handles the parking.

  5. 14:30

Arashiyama bamboo grove & Togetsukyo Bridge

Cross back to Kyoto’s western hills for the bamboo path in its best afternoon light, with an optional riverside coffee.

  6. 16:30

    One more Kyoto stop

Kinkaku-ji’s golden pavilion or the Gion lanes at dusk — pick one as the day’s finale.

  7. 18:00

    Drop-off at your hotel

Osaka or Kyoto, either way — no rush-hour train with sleeping kids on your shoulders.

Make it yours. Three cities is the ambitious version — plenty of guests ask us to slow it down to Kyoto + Nara only, add Uji’s matcha lanes, or start from a cruise terminal. The published smaller days below cost even less; tell us your pace and we will shape the route.

Why a private car

What the bus tours and trains can’t do here.

The triangle trains don’t serve

Kyoto–Nara–Arashiyama means three different railway companies, four transfers and a lot of platform stairs. The car does the whole triangle while your group does the sightseeing.

Early starts actually happen

Fushimi Inari at 9 a.m. is a different place from Fushimi Inari at noon. A lobby pickup makes the early start effortless instead of heroic.

Often cheaper than marketplace listings

Our day rate is the direct, published per-vehicle price — no marketplace commission stacked on top — and it covers the driver, fuel and 8–10 hours.

Travelling with children? Infant, toddler, and booster seats are free — just tick them in the booking form.

Good to know

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle. One flat USD rate covers the car, the professional driver, fuel, and 8–10 hours of driving time for your whole group. Highway tolls and parking are settled at cost; entrance tickets and meals are not included.

Is Kyoto, Nara and Osaka in one day too rushed?

It is a full, well-paced day by car — roughly one to one-and-a-half hours at each headline stop — and genuinely exhausting by train. If you prefer depth over breadth, the Osaka → Nara or Osaka → Kyoto single-focus days below are the relaxed versions of the same idea.

Can we start in Kyoto and finish in Osaka (or the reverse)?

Yes — pickup and drop-off can be different cities within the Kansai area at the same published rate. That makes the charter double as a hotel-to-hotel move: sightseeing all day, luggage in the boot, no station lockers.

Is the driver a tour guide?

Drivers are professional chauffeurs rather than licensed tour guides — they handle English for the ride, advise on timing and logistics, and stay with the vehicle at each stop. Our support team coordinates anything complex in English on WhatsApp before and during the day.

How do we book and pay? Is a card required?

Book online in a few minutes with no card required — you pay after the ride. Free infant, toddler, and booster seats can be requested in the booking form. If you want a different route or timing, send the plan on WhatsApp and the team confirms quickly.
